In 2007 Duke Duchscherer traveled to Iran to teach Nonviolent Communication to a number of Iranians - from ordinary citizens to social workers, psychologists and psychotherapists to a branch of the Islamic Government of Iran. He traveled to a number of places around the country and had the opportunity to talk with and make personal connections with Iranians from many different backgrounds. This presentation will use digital slides, stories and experiences to bring to life the people beyond the rhetoric and connect you with an amazingly rich and vibrant culture.

Duke Duchscherer is a Certified Trainer with the International Center for Nonviolent Communication. Duke's training and experience reflects a growing level of capability integrating Nonviolent Communication (NVC) in areas of peacebuilding, conflict transformation, trauma healing, restorative processes and reconciliation. This experience is reflected in his work with a depth and breadth of peoples and groups from the grassroots to the United Nations on four continents.
